The Final Major Project is a consolidation of all the knowledge that has been taught during the course and is a chance to research and deliver a coherent, fluent and commercially viable concept.

 

The brief itself was created and set by myself which was then negotiated with her tutor. It was expected that within the brief I would collaborate with industry professionals and other students.

 

The intentions for the design brief was to extend the recently launched concept Loved & Found at John Lewis. Creating a stand-alone store and to expand outside of the John Lewis Partnership. The purpose of this idea was to raise brand awareness, re-evaluate the consumer demographic and to determine the concepts competitors to develop an improved marketing strategy.

 

Working for the partnership I was able to pull upon my employers to work directly with the brand. In order to fulfil the brief I created a full business plan with a five year financial forecast, marketing strategy plan, store mock up’s and a concept guide board.

 

Contributing to the collaboration factor, I also teamed up with an interior design student whose knowledge in Sketch Up, helped to build the store mock up’s which were then edited in Photoshop.
